George Wallace Solo electric guitar albums are hard. The Old Enemy is always close by, proffering the Noodle and the Jam as easeful outs. Alexander Elliott Miller prevails against the tempter in these Southern California portrait pieces. Favorite track: Dunbar Hotel.

about

To....Oblivion is an album inspired by six of Los Angeles' socially significant historic landmarks. Each of the six tracks features a different historic site, telling a story about the city. The album includes sounds effects replicating the environment of each historic site, accompanying Miller's electric guitar playing, which varies in style from one track to the next. The landmarks include places such as the Dunbar Hotel, the Zanja Madre and the Belmont Tunnel, among others. These locations are symbols of larger issues that have shaped the city, such as race, water access, or public transportation’s impact on the development of the city.
